Brief Itinerary

Day 1: Departure from Muscat to Wadi Shab

  • Distance: ~2 hours (160 km)
  • Highlights:
  • Muscat: Depart from Muscat after breakfast.
  • Wadi Shab: Explore the stunning Wadi Shab with its turquoise pools and rocky landscapes.
  • you can set up your roof-top tent at the Wadi entrance.
  • Camping Option: Set up your roof-top tent near Wadi Shab or in a designated camping area.
  • Dinner Option: You may wish to try a local Omani meal at a restaurant near the wadi.

Day 2: Wadi Shab to Sur

  • Distance: ~1.5 hours (100 km)
  • Highlights:
    • Sur: Explore the coastal town and the famous Sur Lighthouse, known for its shipbuilding history.
    • Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve: Visit the turtle reserve to observe green turtles.(Season Availability)
  • Camping Option: Set up your roof-top tent by the beach or in a designated camping site.
  • Dinner Option: Dine at the hotel’s restaurant or enjoy fresh seafood at a local restaurant.

Day 3: Sur to Wahiba Sands

  • Distance: ~2 hours (160 km)
  • Highlights:
  • Wahiba Sands: Experience the desert landscape, take a camel ride, or try dune bashing.
  • Camp directly in the desert if you want to experience the open sands and stars.
  • Camping Option: Set up your roof-top tent at the Desert Nights Camp or in a designated desert camping area.
  • Dinner Option: Enjoy a traditional Omani BBQ dinner at Desert Nights Camp or cook your own meals at a campsite.

Day 4: Wahiba Sands to Jebel Akhdar

  • Distance: ~4 hours (300 km)
  • Highlights:
  • Jebel Akhdar: Explore the cooler mountain region, with terraced farms and hiking trails.
  • Alternative: For a more nature-centered experience, camp near the villages or in designated camping areas around the mountain.
  • Camping Option: Set up your roof-top tent in a designated camping spot or near the mountainside.
  • Dinner Option: The Anantara Resort offers fine dining, or you can cook a simple dinner in your rooftop tent.

Day 5: Jebel Akhdar to Nizwa

  • Distance: ~1 hour (70 km)
  • Highlights:
  • Nizwa: Explore Nizwa Fort, visit Nizwa Souq, and experience the local Omani culture.
  • Alternative: Set up your roof-top tent in a scenic area near Nizwa or at a designated campsite.
  • Camping Option: Camp on the outskirts of Nizwa or find a spot with mountain views.
  • Dinner Option: Dine at a local restaurant in Nizwa or enjoy a home-cooked meal from your rooftop tent.

Day 6: Nizwa to Muscat

  • Distance: ~1.5 hours (160 km)
  • Highlights:
  • Return to Muscat: On your final day, head back to Muscat. Visit Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque or the Royal Opera House.
  • End of Trip: Relax and reflect on your adventure in Muscat before concluding your road trip.

  • Royal King Tours reserves the right to change the sequence of the program of the tours or cancel any part of the scheduled program for reasons of Government decisions and road traffic situations, weather conditions or similar.
  • Royal King Tours reserves the right to amend the rates if the government introduces new tax regulations.
  • Non-refundable: All bookings (hotels, and tours) are non-refundable and non-transferable. Please double-check all details before confirming your reservation
  • Payment Due Dates: 100% advance payment. Payments to be made 02 weeks before arrival.
  • Travel Insurance: We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any unexpected cancellations, delays, or health issues that may arise during your trip.
  • Changes to Itinerary: Any changes made to the itinerary after booking may result in additional fees and changes to travel arrangements. Please consult with the organizer before making any changes.
  • Tour Timings: All tours and excursions are subject to change based on weather, availability, or local conditions. Confirm tour timings and locations 24 hours before departure

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Cancellations received 15 days prior to the arrival date will be cancelled free of charge.
  • Cancellations received 14 to 6 days prior to the arrival date will incur a 25% charge of the total package.
  • Cancellations received 5 to 2 days prior to the arrival date will incur a 50% charge of the total package.
  • Cancellations received 1 day to the arrival date will incur a 100% charge of the total package.
